State Public Affairs Committee (SPAC)

The JLBC has been active with SPAC since 1972. JLBC SPAC delegates are members of the State Public Affairs Committee of the eight New Jersey Junior Leagues. The New Jersey State Public Affairs Committee of the Junior League is a highly respected lobbying group since it is basically non-partisan. Its only interests are on behalf of women and children.

SPAC studies and takes action when necessary on behalf of children in New Jersey in the areas of health, welfare, and juvenile justice. Our delegates study issues and take action on behalf of women in New Jersey in the areas of economics, domestic violence, health issues and such. They study and take action on the issues regarding the environment as it affects women and children and education issues such as charter schools and after school programs.

SPAC’s purpose is to support and promote voluntarism as an essential component of society and support legislation that would strengthen the voluntary sector.
