Community Impact

The Junior League of Bergen County has a long history of recognizing and meeting educational and charitable needs in our county. Part of our mission is to improve Bergen County communities through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.  Our current projects include:

Done in a Day

Done in a Days focus on short, intensive community projects that are completed in a single day. The JLBC works with many community partners such as:

  • Center for Food Action
  • Hackensack University Medical Center Pediatric Cancer Center
  • Head Start of Bergen County
  • Shelter our Sisters
  • Children’s Aid and Family Services

State Public Affairs Committee (SPAC)

The State Public Affairs (SPAC) Committee advocates on behalf of women and children statewide and on a national level.

College Scholarships

Each year, outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated noteworthy interest in voluntarism are awarded scholarships toward higher education.
