The JLBC was proud to award a $1500 scholarship to Gurleen Parmar of Hackensack High School.

Gurleen Parmar has contributed over 2000+ hours of community service and volunteer work spanning from the Boys & Girls Club, Bergen County Junior Women’s Commissioner, food pantry, blood drives and so much more!

In addition, to her volunteer work, Gurleen played sports and was captain of her Soccer team, worked part-time, and participated in many academic endeavors (Regional and State medalist in the Academic Decathlon, Youth of the Year State finalist, Spanish Honor Society, and Comet Ambassador) to name a few.

She embodies the spirit and Mission of the Junior League and is a remarkable young woman.  Gurleen will be attending Rutgers in the Fall and we look forward to her continuing on this path of servant leadership.
