International Find the Good Day is a global celebration of service, leadership, and the positive impact created by Junior Leagues around the world.

Every day, Junior League Members work to strengthen their communities through volunteer service, advocacy, fundraising, education, and leadership development. Find the Good Day shines a spotlight on those efforts and encourages everyone to recognize the good happening in their communities and take action to create even more.

This day is an opportunity to celebrate the individuals, organizations, and volunteers who are making a difference while inspiring others to get involved. Whether through volunteering, supporting local nonprofits, mentoring others, advocating for change, or simply lending a helping hand, every action contributes to stronger and more resilient communities.

Find the Good Day reminds us that meaningful change happens when people come together with a shared commitment to improving the lives of others.

Join the Movement

You don’t have to be a Junior League Member to participate in Find the Good Day on September 17, 2026. This day is for everyone! Use it as an opportunity to focus on the good in your community. While it’s easy to point out the negatives, today is a day to shine a light on the positives around us. It’s time to uplift others and take action to make a difference. Today is a day for good deeds, spreading kindness, and making a positive impact in your community. Whether it’s helping a neighbor, volunteering at a local charity, or simply offering a kind word, every act of goodwill contributes to the greater good.

If you find yourself inspired and want to do even more for your community, consider learning more about the Junior League of Bergen County. The Junior League of Bergen County will be celebrating Find the Good Day 2026 at our September GMM on the evening of the 16th where we will be announcing our newest Empowering Environments project for the 2026-2027 league year.

Past Find the Good Day Events

In 2024 the Junior League of Bergen County participated in their second Find the Good Day! At our September General Membership Meeting we revealed our 2024-2025 community partners for Empowering Environments.  We were joined by James Castillo, MS, Chief Operating Officer from the Boys and Girls Club of Lower Bergen County  where we would be renovating their STEM and Music Studio in Lodi, NJ. Rosetta Arrigo (& Tilly) Land Steward & Raptor Care Manager for Flat Rock Brook Nature Center in Englewood, NJ where we will be installing a sensory garden. Nadine Kaiser Executive Director The Opportunity Center in Fair Lawn, NJ. Our panel discussion was lead by Vanessa Marquez our VP of Community who provided dates and sign up information for our membership.

In 2023 the Junior League of Bergen County participated in their first Find the Good Day! At our September General Membership Meeting we were joined by Gretchen Viggiano, Executive Director of Rebuilding Together North Jersey and a sustainer member of the JLBC, and received an overview of the Rebuilding Together project in Upper Ringwood’s Old Mine District that the League will be took part in later in September 2023.  During the meeting they viewed exerts from the Mann VS Ford documentary and assembled cleanup kits for six Upper Ringwood families that were part the renovations.
