The Junior League of Bergen County offers a $1,500 scholarship to recognize outstanding community service by a female high school senior. The focus of the JLBC is the health, wellness and safety of women and children. This focus includes education, leadership and resilience. All volunteer experience will be considered but if you have any volunteer experience in these aforementioned areas, please be sure to highlight it.

In reviewing the applications, the committee will be most concerned with a student’s demonstrated commitment to voluntarism. Secondary criteria include leadership, extra-curricular activities, scholastic effort, and work or family responsibilities.

Applicants must plan to attend an accredited college, university, or trade school after graduation from high school. Children of Junior League of Bergen County members are not eligible to apply.

Our 2026 scholarship application window will open on January 1, 2027. Deadline to submit applications with all supporting materials is no later than March 15, 2027.
