The Junior League of Bergen County (JLBC) is thrilled to announce our 32nd Annual Festival of Trees Gala to be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Alpine Country Club in Demarest, NJ. Festival of Trees, a black tie optional gala, is our signature fundraiser and features a live and online auction.
Established in Bergen County in 1932, the JLBC is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. The JLBC has long been a non-profit innovator in Bergen County by founding and supporting such organizations as The Volunteer Center of Bergen County and Rebuilding Together North Jersey, as well as projects such as Woodlea Group Home and Baby Basics.
In addition, The Junior League of Bergen County is also known in the community for our smaller, day-long projects, aptly named Done-in-a-Days, that deliver thousands of hours of volunteer time each year to in-need populations within our community. This past year we partnered with organizations such as Brightside Manor in Teaneck, NJ, Marine Moms of Mahwah, The Boys and Girls Club of Lodi, American Cancer Society, Family Promise, Tomorrow’s Children and The Center for Hope and Safety, to name a few! None of these projects would have been possible without the generosity of our valued business partners.
The 2018-2019 League Year will mark a new chapter in our history. For several years we have diligently been working on evaluating and reassessing the current needs of our community and how we can best make an impact. After careful research and consideration, our membership voted to focus our efforts on educating and building resilience within at-risk populations in Bergen and surrounding counties. Most recently, we have focused our efforts in educating our members on the topic of resilience, to become subject matter experts. This year we are excited to launch new projects within the community to help others build resilience!
As a business owner in our community, your generous support of this year’s 32nd Annual Festival of Trees will help fund and foster this new initiative. We respectfully ask that you please consider making a donation to support our efforts. We have enclosed a Donation Contract and Sponsorship Packet with this letter. There are numerous ways to show your support:
- Become a sponsor for the 32nd Annual Festival of Trees;
- Donate an item or service to our auction;
- Place an ad in our auction guide;
- Purchase tickets to the event!
We look forward to your partnership and thank you for your help advancing the JLBC’s mission.
