$5000 Donation to CUMAC and Baby Basics

The Junior League of Bergen County is pleased to announce that it has donated a total of $5,000 to CUMAC and Children’s Aid and Family Services in support of their work in light of COVID-19.  Since our community partners are being hit harder than ever, the Junior League of Bergen County has furthered its commitment to help the at-risk populations of our community during this time of need.  Children’s Aid and Family Services will be able to purchase more than 16,000 diapers for their Baby Basics program with our $2,500 donation, while CUMAC will be able to use our $2,500 donation to continue its operations, which include providing groceries and employment counseling to families in need.

In times like these, we are proud to see our mission come to life and even prouder to partner with CUMAC and Children’s Aid and Family Services.  CUMAC is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing food and resources for over 4,000 children, adults, and seniors in need of regular and emergency assistance every month.  The Baby Basics program provides free formula and diapers for babies of low-income working families.  For over 100 years, Junior League volunteers have stepped in to address crises and have been at the forefront of community action campaigns.  We look forward to supporting the needs of our community in the weeks and months to come.
