May 22, 2022 Touch A Truck

The 16th annual Junior League of Bergen County Touch-a-Truck fundraiser and community event is fast approaching! This year’s event will be held on Sunday, May 22th at the Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus, NJ from 10am-2pm.

Touch-a-Truck is a family-friendly outdoor event that takes place rain or shine and attracts more than 1000 attendees. Kids of all ages enjoy climbing on all types of vehicles, beeping horns and participating in a variety of entertainment opportunities (e.g., bounce houses, facepainting), while their parents have the opportunity to learn about new products, services and businesses that support our local communities.

All of the money raised at this event is returned to our area’s needy and at-risk populations through numerous projects and initiatives. A few Junior League of Bergen County past projects include:
● Founding of The Volunteer Center
● Founding of Rebuilding Together in Bergen County
● Starpower! – Program for girls to combat bullying and promote self-esteem
● A long time partnership with Children’s Aid and Family Services with specific accomplishments including Woodlea House for girls
● A Partnership with Boys and Girls Club of Lodi to help on-going activities to strengthen their after-school programming.
● A comprehensive training program which develops community and civic leaders and promotes voluntarism

The Junior League of Bergen County relies on fundraising activities to support its programs. Because our League is volunteer-based, every dollar earned through these efforts is allocated to our community outreach programs.  Through our projects, we touch thousands of Bergen County residents each year – but we cannot continue to do so without the generous support of businesses and individuals like you!
