For the first time, (201) readers have selected a charitable organization as Bergen's best-kept secret.  With a mission of promoting voluntarism, building communities and developing the potential of women, the Junior League has been an integral part of Bergen for almost a century.  Whether it's programs to build self-esteem among young women, scholarships to reward community volunteerism, or the "Done in a Day" program which focuses on short, intensive community projects that are completed in a day, the Junior League's initiatives are felt throughout the county.
