the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose
is exclusively educational and charitable.
Help the JLBC Diaper Every Little Bottom!
The Junior
League of Bergen County is proud to announce their partnership with The
Huggies Every Little Bottom Program. One in three American moms struggle to provide diapers for their babies,
and this program will help women in Bergen County who struggle to provide
diapers for their children.
There is
little help for these mothers and babies as many community-based organizations
don’t provide diapers. Public resources are also limited as food assistance
programs focus solely on food and nutrition, and do not cover diapers. Every
Little Bottom was created with a single mission – to help get diapers to babies
in need.
The Junior
League of Bergen County will conduct diaper drives to impact diaper deprivation
in our community and benefit two local organizations. Donations will be split
equally between the Teaneck Armory Family Assistance Center and Zoe’s Place.
The
Teaneck Armory Family Assistance Center offers support to local families
of military men and women. Zoe’s Place provides housing and supportive
services for homeless pregnant teens, teen mothers and their babies.
Stay tuned
for details on upcoming diaper drives by the JLBC and to find one near you!

The 2009-2010 Junior League of Bergen County Board of Directors has made three grants to non-profit organizations in New Jersey.
A $1,000 grant was provided to the Hermitage to
fund two field trips for Bergen County students, when other funding was
unavailable.
A $500 grant was approved for the Community Food Bank of
New Jersey, to assist that organization in feeding the many people that
struggle to put food on the table for their families each day.
And a
$500 grant went to the Bergen Youth Orchestra, an organization founded
by the JLBC, so that children who might not otherwise have an
opportunity can pursue their interest in music.
We are an international organization of 170,000 women who are committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving our communities.
Information Sessions will be held over the summer at various locations throughout the county.
